TRIP TO LE HAVRE WITH B.H.A.

The club has a very fruitful relationship with B.H.A. Football in the Community and as a result were recently asked to supply 11 players to travel to Le Havre to play in a tournament organised by the Le Havre FC academy.

This was a great opportunity for the players involved.  Here is a report on the trip by one of them. 

"We had to leave very early in the morning.  Everyone was very excited about missing school.  We went through the tunnel while back here everyone was starting school.  It was a long journey on the coach and we were all tired when we got to the hotel.  It was only an hour before we had to go to the tournament.

It was a very friendly atmosphere.  The tournament was not one where you got points.  If you won you moved up a pitch and if you lost you moved down a pitch.  Then there was a presentation and a keepy-up competition.  We had the chance to meet some of the French children and talk to them about football.  When we got back to the hotel the Champions League was on but all we could find to watch was PSV vs Bourdeaux.

The next morning we had a training session with the Brighton coaches.  They taught us about receiving the ball on the back foot.  The goal-keepers had their own training session as well.  It was very professional and all of the boys liked it.  In the afternoon we visited the Le Havre FC training ground and the academy where all of the boys sleep.

In the evening we all went bowling which was really fun.  

The next day we left to travel home and arrived at 5.00pm.  It was a great trip and I really enjoyed it".
